Hydrolite ZGC858 is a highly effective water softening resin with fine-layer technology. During the ion exchange process, to achieve better ion removal, the shorter the spacing between the resins, the faster the exchange of functional groups can occur. During regeneration, the shorter spacing between the resins allows the regeneration solution to quickly and completely pass through the resin interior, thereby increasing the regeneration rate. Because the regeneration rate is relatively high, this process can produce a resin with good demineralization performance and low water permeability at the outlet. Furthermore, post-regeneration discharge facilitates easier flushing of residues, reducing water consumption. Compared to conventional strong acid cationic resins, ZGC858 offers superior performance in removing heavy metals such as iron and zinc, including high elution efficiency, fast regeneration rates, low water consumption, and excellent demineralization, ensuring effective removal while reducing costs. Furthermore, compared to conventional cationic resins, heavy metal ions expand and exchange slowly when using this resin. Therefore, ZGC858 is particularly suitable for removing iron, zinc, and other heavy metals from both aqueous and anhydrous solutions.
After the exchange of iron, calcium, and magnesium, the resin loses its function. It must be regenerated, converting the resin to the Na type. The process is as follows:
