PRODUCT DESCRIPTION ZGA451
ZGA451 is a macroporous, weakly basic anion exchange resin with a styrene-DVB structure containing tertiary amine groups. ZGA451 exhibits excellent kinetics and increased resistance to oxidation and osmotic shock. It offers high regeneration efficiency with low reagent consumption, ensuring high operating throughput. Large organic molecules are readily removed by the resin and eluted easily due to ZGA451’s macroporous structure. It is supplied as a free base.
FEATURES AND ADVANTAGES
- Fine particle size
95% of all granules are within the specified range, resulting in lower pressure drop and excellent kinetics. - Resistance to organic pollution
The tertiary amine functionality of ZGA451 and its macroporous structure provide almost 100% regeneration efficiency and the ability to reversibly adsorb natural organic matter. - HIGH PHYSICAL STABILITY
Over 93% sphericity combined with high crushing strength and uniform particle size provide better resistance to granule breakage, resulting in longer service life and lower pressure drop.

APPLICATION
ZGA451 is used in two-layer systems where weak acidic ions (such as silicic acid and carbon dioxide) should not be removed. The resin’s primary application is producing pure and ultrapure water. It is also used to treat wastewater containing chromium and other metals.
The ZGA451 series, in combination with strongly basic anion exchange resins, is used in water treatment, increasing operational performance and reducing regeneration and backwashing. It also protects strongly basic anion resins from contamination by organic molecules.
ZGA451 exhibits high chemical and physical resistance to thermal stress. Due to these characteristics and its large pore size, ZGA451 is used in many specialized technological processes, including:
- Removal and separation of metals
- Acid wastewater treatment
- Pharmaceutical production
- Processing of cane sugar and corn syrup
