1. Introduction
Hydrolite ZG BSL Cationic Indicator Resin is a highly acidic cationic indicator resin that not only exchanges cations in solution but also exhibits distinct color indicator characteristics. This resin is emerald green when in the reduced form (H) and turns dark blue when decomposed (Na). The color change is very pronounced. ZG BSL indicator resin is primarily used to measure the cation conductivity of steam and condensate water in mixed sediment filters at the outlet. The indicator resin is loaded into a transparent exchange vessel with a diameter of less than 50 mm, where trace minerals in the water can exchange with acid, significantly increasing the sensitivity of cation monitoring. At the same time, the resin color changes to dark blue when decomposed, indicating the operating state of the exchange vessel. The cationic resin of the indicator color ZG BSL can also be mixed together with the anionic resin of the indicator color ZG BSY (or a strongly basic anionic resin) mixed into a clear exchange boiler as the mixed resin with an indicator for monitoring the internal cooling water of the generator at power plants or in electronic devices in the food and medical industries.
