1. Introduction
Hydrolite’s ZG BSH cation resin with color indicator is a strongly acidic cation exchange resin with a built-in indicator. It not only exchanges cations in solution but also exhibits a distinct color change. This resin is brownish-yellow in its reduced state (H), and turns pinkish-red when deactivated (Na). This color change is highly visible.
ZG BSH resin with color indicator is primarily used to measure the cationic conductivity of water from evaporators and condensates in mixed beds. The resin with color indicator is loaded into a transparent exchange vessel with a diameter of less than 50 mm. Micro-minerals in the water can be exchanged for acid, significantly improving the sensitivity of cation monitoring. At the same time, the resin color can change to pinkish-red when the resin becomes inactive, indicating the operating state of the exchange vessel.
ZG BSH color indicator resin can also be used together with ZG BSY anion color indicator resin (or strong basic anion resin), which is loaded into a transparent exchange boiler as a mixed bed of indicator resin in the monitor of medical products and food industry.
