Questa struttura chimica contribuisce a formare un complesso stabile con ioni fluoruro e arseniato nell&#8217;acqua, rimuovendo e riducendo le concentrazioni di fluoruro e arseniato nell&#8217;acqua, soddisfacendo cos\u00ec gli standard nazionali per l&#8217;acqua potabile, ovvero 10 microgrammi\/litro di arsenico e 1 mg\/litro di fluoro.
