Su matriz acr\u00edlica le proporciona excelentes propiedades antiincrustantes y de eluci\u00f3n, lo que le permite adsorber numerosas mol\u00e9culas org\u00e1nicas grandes. Su eficiencia de blanqueo puede alcanzar el 65-75% y su eficiencia de eluci\u00f3n supera el 95%. Se utiliza ampliamente en la producci\u00f3n de az\u00facar de ca\u00f1a, az\u00facar de remolacha, az\u00facar refinado y otros alimentos procesados.
